If so, HealthRIGHT 360 is currently looking to fill a Counselor / Case Manager position opening at our Prototypes Tustin Family Campus in Tustin, CA. The ideal candidate is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in Ca, has a minimum of two years experience working in a residential treatment setting, and 1-2 years experience working with mothers and children. In this position, you will expand your knowledge of wrap around treatment services for addiction, mental health, parenting, life skills, and self-sufficiency, join a highly trained and passionate integrated treatment team, and affect meaningful change for a vulnerable population. Prototypes, at the beautiful Tustin Family Campus, is an 18-month residential treatment program serving 15 mothers with up to 32 children. All residents have open Child and Family Service Cases in the County of Orange. These mothers are working to reunify with their children while at the same time addressing their histories with addiction and mental health. Our treatment team works closely with Orange County Social Services, Orange County Mental Health and Family Court to ensure successful case plan completion and reunification. Clients receive substance abuse counseling and education, counseling and education in parenting and life skills as well as individual and group therapy for both mothers and children. The goal for our clients is that they graduate with custody of their children, affordable housing, and a steady income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly 1:1 counseling
  • Facilitate weekly group meetings presenting Evidence Based Programming addressing issues related to addiction, recovery and relapse prevention
  • Develop and update client-centered treatment plans for assigned case load
  • Ensure complete and accurate charting with timely documentation and progress notes
  • Coordinate in-house services with the Child Care Parenting Specialist, the Housing and Employment Case Manager and Therapist
  • Coordinate client's access to community resources including primary care, mental health, Orange County Social Services, Family Court, Law Enforcement and transportation services
  • Participate in treatment team meetings ensuring all staff are current with the goals and needs of the assigned case load
  • The hours for this position are TU - SAT 12PM - 9PM

Education & Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must be a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor valid in the state of CA. Registered interns need not apply
  • Must have 2 years experience working in a treatment program, preferably residential
  • Must have 1-2 years experience working with Mothers and Children
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must have California Driver's License with proof of insurance
  • Live Scan clearance required
