Position Overview:
As a Counselor, you’ll play a vital role in the recovery journey of our patients. Our approach blends compassionate care with innovative treatment to meet the diverse needs of individuals with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

Orient new patients to program rules, policies, and rights.
Conduct intakes, assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
Involve patients in their recovery planning.
Administer biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Monitor patient progress and document changes.
Identify relapse indicators and implement early interventions.
Evaluate high-risk conditions and administer mental health screening tools.
Refer patients to appropriate internal or external services.
Provide individual and group counseling using CBT, MI, and other techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings.
Attend required training and support community outreach efforts.

Qualifications:

Counselor I ($20–$22/hr): Associate degree or 75% of certification coursework; 0–2 years experience.
Counselor II ($22–$25/hr): Associate degree or 75% of certification coursework; 2–5 years experience or Master’s level.
Counselor III ($25–$28/hr Certified, $28–$31/hr Licensed): Licensed or license-eligible with advanced clinical skills.

All counselors must be registered or certified with a CA-approved agency and meet DHCS requirements before providing services.
