Pay: Starting $22
SUMMARY Support Staff at our residential treatment program is responsible for performing advanced indirect and selected direct client care duties in support of the rehab process in a competent manner under the direction of Program Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Supervisors with client transportation to outside appointments, other facilities, evening self-help meetings, and other recreational activities.
Oversees and assists clients with everyday life skills such as cleaning, cooking, practicing coping skills, etc.
Perform household duties such as cooking and cleaning.
Ensures that the environment of care adheres to the safe care of the clients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Engages with each client daily and documents interactions in shift/incident reports.
Observe Client Self-administration of Medication.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to high volumes of stress.
Uphold and enforce G.L.O.M. Substance Abuse Programs standards, policies and procedures, client rights, and professional code of ethics and conduct.
Facilitate groups (when applicable)
Ability to learn, utilize and navigate HER.
Address client’s inappropriate behavior.
Document client progress. Prepare documentation accurately and within time frames.
Intervene during crisis situations.
Participate in the agency’s Orientation training, staff meetings, and in-service training.
Adhere to code of ethics, legal aspects of practice, professional standards, duty to warn, abuse and neglect reporting policies and procedures, exercise professionalism at all times.
Exercise awareness in cultural competency, client satisfaction, quality of services, client needs, and overall health and safety staff and clients.
Maintain a high degree of self-awareness and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Utilizes trauma-informed care while applying crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and supervision of the participants.
Seeks consultation when encountering new and/or high-risk circumstances.
Works collaboratively with other members of the treatment team and communicates any concerns to immediate supervisor.
Perform any/all other duties as assigned by your assigned supervisor.
Utilizes trauma-informed care while applying crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and supervision of the participants.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years old.
Current American Red Cross Adult First Aid, CPR Completion Certificate or agree to complete before start date.
Must provide documentation of a TB test within the last year.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
License Required: Valid California Driver’s License – Class B.
Travel: Willingness to travel: 25% of day.
HS graduate or equivalent required.
Previous experience in substance abuse counseling field, instruction/internship, or similar practicum through education or certification process highly preferred.
Prior knowledge/experience with MAT (medication assisted treatment) highly preferred.
Knowledge of industry standards related to the position of Support Staff.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day and be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to sit, rise, kneel, squat, twist, pull bend multiple times a day.
Ability to navigate stairs and walkways unencumbered.
Ability to perform with repetitive maneuvers and manual dexterity.
Ability to drive in inclement weather and heavy traffic.
